INVESTING

Those who read this are mostly family but a few are not so you may be thinking "she sure hasn't written for awhile"! Well, I've been investing and it takes a lot of serious thought and effort...let alone "sweat"--literally! You see I've been blessed with a lot of company recently...and I do mean A LOT! It began with my friend's visit of 2 weeks. Shortly thereafter, my daughter-in-law, Gail came with my granddaughter, Amara, from Kansas. That was only from July 3 until I drove to Tampa the evening of the 9th to pick up a different granddaughter, Briana who was flying in from El Paso where she attends college.

After spending one night alone with her (spent mostly driving and sleeping) we were joined by such an enthusastic brother welcoming his sister back to the eastern time zone that he and two friends had driven all night to be here to say, Hi by 8:30 A.M. the following morning. I enjoyed their company (that makes 4) until they left on Saturday, the 12th for Sanibel to hook up with a lot more family for a week of fun in the sun (except for the mosquitos).

During that week, my oldest daughter, Leslie drove from Sanibel to have lunch with me for the day since she'd never seen our condo. That was fun except the weather was the "worst"!! I was sorry she didn't get to see it when it's so beautiful and sunny....oh, well...timing is important. If you've managed to keep up so far....on Sat...check out day for most of the family I mentioned already, as they headed BACK to KENTUCKY, guess what...they stopped off here to have lunch AND leave three almost teens with me for the week! (Dee Dee is thirteen, Alleah, ten, Maria, eleven). I mentioned SWEAT earlier...we did a lot of that at Busch Gardens on Monday.

Now, today...Friday, I drove them to Tampa to hop on a plane for KY. The above photo beginning from the left to right is Eli married to my youngest daughter, Cy who is on the far right...then beside him is granddaughter Briana..attending college in El Paso, U-Tep, Kate, is my grandson, Arian's girlfriend who attends high school at Lex. Catholic where Briana (and Arian) attended, then 'me', Arian, Dee Dee (Eli's daughter), Taylor, Arian's friend & roommate at UK....and there you have it! Oh, BOB is taking the picture and being a more than good sport about everything :>) Oh.....the sweet, beautiful, shadow in the background....holding the door open is Alleah. There are several more children around somewhere....we just didn't get them all in the picture.

So, I've been quite busy investing...and my portfolio is not quite complete. It's true! I have another granddaughter visit week after next...she's 6 and can only make it for a couple of nights and she lives close by...Ha ....ORLANDO! That would be Madeline...my son, Chad's daughter.
