Coincidences don't usually happen! Today, the famous duo, Donny and Marie Osmond were featured on Good Morning, America and I was inspired to write my Blog about these two--my middle kids. I used to love watching the Donny & Marie show on TV and once saw them in person and couldn't believe how much of a 'groupie' I suddenly became. They're truly great entertainers...even at their age now!Recently I had pulled a number of pictures to make a scrapbook for my granddaughter. While doing so, I also pulled this photo of her mother since I thought it was a good one of these two (my children). Each of them have 6 kids...yeap...you read right!!! Shane and his wife have all six biological children and are teaching them at home. Cy, however, has three biological children and one adopted from Guatemala and adopted two more siblings after that.
This year Cy, my daughter will celebrate her 40th birthday. Shane has already passed that milestone. They've each graduated from college and they've carried their own weight quite well, working hard! I admire how well they can manage with so much responsibility!
I should add that as I write this I don't want the oldest and the youngest children of mine to feel left out! Their turn will come :>)
I was thinking recently of the following: "Job's sons took turns holding feasts in their homes and invited their sisters to eat and drink with them.........Early in the morning Job would offer a burnt offering for each of them, because he thought, 'My children may have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.' Job did this every time. And it goes on to say: "The third messenger was still speaking when another messenger arrived and said, "Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine together at the oldest brother's house. Suddenly a great wind came from the desert, hitting all four corners of the house at once. The house fell in on the young people, and they are all dead. Job 1:4,18,19"
All of this happened to Job after God bragged on him and called him a perfect and upright man!
I thank God each and every day that not only do Bob and I together have 7 children...but we have 24 grandchildren...and they are healthy. That is a great treasure!
