Eye hath not seen Nor Ear Heard...

God is truly a God of surprises! I don't say that by faith, but because of something that has just happened in my life. Just last night I was so tempted to ask my pastor's wife to pray for me because I was feeling so 'under used', but having been encouraged through the teaching I had just heard, I simply prayed a prayer AGAIN asking God, "Use me."

I was to pick up some papers and while waiting for the Pastor's wife, I noticed the sound man who I wanted to ask for a video of an amazing worship/dance performance from a previous service. Due to copyright issues he hadn't made any but mentioned he'd given the performers (a lady and her daughter) the original DVD. I saw her and decided to see if she'd make a copy for me.

Because of a simple request for a copy of a DVD, God has started me on a path of encouraging this young Mom and young daughter in their beautiful worship/dance ministry by interceding for them as they settle here in Sarasota and begin to find where God is leading them. I feel honored that the Lord has seen my need and theirs and orchestrated circumstances so that our paths would cross.

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1Cor. 2:9)"

I recall one of my favorite teachers sharing that one day she received a call from a friend who was threatening to jump from a high bridge to end his life and he was seeking any reason why he shouldn't. She thought he was kidding, but when she realized he wasn't joking, she began to cry out in earnest to God for something to say! God spoke to her..."Tell him..'Give me 24 hours.'" This just reassures me that we just need to give God time! It may seem that he's running late, but he's never TOO late.

We're encouraged to not grow weary in well-doing, because it is 'tempting' to do so. This photo shows VALLEYS...before THE MOUNTAINS...and the MOUNTAINS are too far off to really see what's on the other side. We are like that spiritually. We're required to walk by faith, not by sight. God can be counted on to lead us. He is Good....Praise His HOLY name.
