GOOD NEWS

Some of you who know me best know that I 'sometimes' have heard God 'foretell' things that have come to pass! My good friend, Anne can attest to the fact that I shared with her in advance in 1995, after a dream I had, that I thought I'd be getting married although I had no idea who would want to marry me. After she invited me to Ohio in August of that year, 90 days later, I was married!

This morning, in spite of not going to bed until after midnight I awoke around 5:30 AM. I tossed and turned trying to go back to sleep in hopes of arising around 7:00, but to no avail. I gave up and fixed myself some Storyville coffee while preparing to have my morning devotions. Once I did, here's what I read: "You wonder if it is a blessing or a curse to have a mind that never rests." (From In The Eye Of The Storm by Max Lucado)

That got my attention! But then as I read further from the book of Jeremiah, I realized God had set me up through some interesting events that had taken place recently to make sure the words I was reading "jumped off the page."

Here they are and I suggest you who are reading them take them personally:

....
Shout for joy. Their faces will shine with happiness about all the good things from the Lord. Young women of Israel will be happy and dance, the young men and old men also, I will change their sadness into happiness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sadness. (Jere. 12:12 NCV)

Take heart, dearly beloved! You've prayed! I've prayed! Many others have prayed and God has heard your prayers!

Here's what else God's word says: Until now you've asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive so that your joy may be made full (John 16:24 NASB)

Obviously, some of you HAVE asked in Jesus' name for a long time and your patience has been stretched!!! It's soooo hard to W A I T!!!!! I heard Mrs. T. D. Jakes answer a question one time about delayed answers to prayer and her answer included these words: "It came to pass." Of course, that's the King James English style of writing the historical account of Jesus on earth, but we can truly look at our struggles in the way she implied.

BE ENCOURAGED THIS DAY! I HAVE RECEIVED THE WORD OF THE LORD THIS MORNING....JER. 12:12
