JUDGMENT BEGINS IN THE HOUSE OF GOD

I was thinking recently after so many politicians have been "exposed" morally or for embezzlement of public funds, that God has moved into the political arena for accomplishing a major housecleaning.

You see, the household of God went through several years of "embarrassment" while God did a similar work. This lines up with the scripture, "Judgment begins in the household of God... (1 Pet. 4:17)."

While watching this play out in the news, I can't help but think, candidates who win the upcoming election on November 4th, better be walking in the "fear of the Lord." It should make them tremble to see just how carefully God is holding them accountable as "servants." "No one rules unless God has given him the power to rule and no one rules now without that power from God (Rom. 13:1)." "The ruler is God's servant to help you. (Rom. 13:4)."

We are told in 1 Tim. 2:1 to "Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to know the truth."

We need wisdom regarding the choices before us and then we need grace to pray for those who are placed into their positions by our freedom to choose!

We do live in a wonderful country. Let's pray that we can keep it that way.
