Who Do You Say I Am

Today is Halloween. As is my habit I was reading from Our Daily Bread and I found this to be worthy of quoting:

"A writer for The Washington Post conducted an experiment to test people's perception. He asked a famous violinist to perform incognito at a train station in the nation's capital one January morning. Thousands of people walked by as he played, but only a few stopped to listen. After 45 minutes, just $32 had been dropped into the virtuoso's open violin case. Two days earlier, this man--Joshua Bell--had used the same $3.5 million Stradivarius for a sold-out concert where people paid $100 a seat to hear him perform.

The idea of a person not being recognized for his greatness isn't new. It happened to Jesus."

I'm stopping there because I want to say in my own words what this story made me think about!

First of all, Satan is a deceiver.....He can make people believe lies such as there are many ways that will get you to heaven...(or there is no heaven). Secondly, he won't show up in a red suit with horns and a pitch fork...Nope...it will be a sexy looking lady at work or a good looking guy at the office or.... you get my drift! Or, he'll make you think you can just "try one little drink or puff" to see what everyone is talking about! Right...it won't pull you in! WRONG.

The Bible teaches Satan is the Father of Lies and can and will appear as an Angel of Light! Wow! So how will we know when it's really the devil himself or one of his emissaries? We won't necessarily! That's why we need one another within the body of Christ so we can "encourage one another daily, all the more as the DAY DRAWS NEAR." What day? The day the Lord is going to catch his Bride away....those who are looking forward to being united with Him forever.

If you're not part of that BRIDE...then unfortunately there is still a forever....it's just going to be in the place which was prepared for the devil and his followers...the rebellious angels that were kicked out of heaven thousands of years ago. If any of this sounds far-fetched just read the most neglected book there is...the Bible.

I hope no one reading this neglects taking the time to get ready to meet Jesus in the air. I know, you probably think Donna is making up a science fiction story. Nope, it's all true. It's not Trick or Treat. It's all TREAT if you're a believer in the one true God and his name is JESUS.
