The photo to the right was taken in 1970 in Clearwater, FL. The tall 'person' is Linda...my 'restored' friend with whom I'd lost touch until last year. She's holding "Jeanie" and below her is Janie (her daughter) and Leslie (my daughter), then Shane (my son). Linda's sister, Mary is trying to cope with the crying Cy (mine, of course.)

It's a GOOD THING as Martha Stewart likes to say, when two people can lose touch for 20 or more years and then pick up almost exactly where they left off! The only thing is we've both acquired a whole lot more "grandchildren" to go along with these children in the photo. I win on that score, however!

Having a friend already in the Tampa area is such a blessing! We met for lunch and a tour of homes and we both felt the same love for each other that our Mom's must have shared. You see her mother and my mother were best friends in high school. My family used to visit Linda's family when we all lived in KY. Few people have known me as long as Linda.

So you can see why I'm excited that God has already provided me with someone who not only knows me and calls me 'friend', but she's a sister-in-the-Lord too! That's even better. How wonderful our Lord is to restore this long, lost 'friend.'
