Some days I feel quite alone! However, in the last couple of days I feel quite POPULAR! It's all because my daughter had a brainstorm of sending my Texas granddaughter to stay a few days prior to joining the family in route to Sanibel Island. Then, following that brainstorm, my grandson called to see if his "carload" of people --only three more -- could also stopover while in route also which means more guests for me, two of which are grandkids. This is happening right after I will have enjoyed a two-week visit by my close friend from KY. For me to have this many people "visiting" is quite unusual and delightful.
As if that isn't enough to get me excited, today I received a call from my close friend from Clearwater who will be coming into Bradenton with her daughter and just happened to have four or five hours to "kill" with me! That makes me very happy! My husband, who is home mostly on weekends was not only willing to "share" me, but is offering to fix us a nice dinner when we return from the meeting site...the Mall. It just doesn't get any better than this!
The Bible says, God sets the lonely in families. Thankfully, my family is coming for a visit and my church family is close at hand. "A joyful heart makes a cheerful face, but when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken" (Pr. 15:13 NASB). It is a time that I can rejoice over my "company" with a happy heart of thanksgiving and PRAISE THE LORD! Thank you, Lord, for blessing me so richly!
