Hugs

I haven't been doing a lot of "reflecting" lately. I've been too busy. You see when you're surrounded by six grandchildren from almost morning until night ranging in age from 16 to 5, there's almost always SOMETHING to do...not just think! I like it this way.

Today with my son home from work and 4 inches of snow (Kansas weather is volatile)...it seemed I had a break....I know that sounds strange, but I had time to reflect. I was thinking about friendship. I recall the saying that we're fortunate if we can find 2, or at most 3 friends throughout our lifetime. I consider myself VERY fortunate to have that many and more. It's amazing that I've been able to collect some neat "friends" as I've moved from KY to Altamonte Springs, FL and then more recently, Lakewood Ranch, FL.

I had a surprise this week when hearing from a neighbor where we lived hardly any time at all in Apopka, FL, but it was so nice to hear from this fine neighbor, turned 'friend.' Also, via the valuable resource of e-mail, when away from family and friends...it's so great to keep in touch and/or be brought up-to-date when being out of touch for awhile.

I've made a big transition to be near my family more often, which means being away from my newly developed friends in Lakewood Ranch (Sarasota), but I hope and (pray) they'll keep in touch with me via the convenience of e-mail or my cell phone 941-224-0943---Hint, Hint!

Everyone is valuable....it's hard to choose and why should we? We need EVERYONE!!!!! Send me your news. It may not be in BLOG format, but surely you remember how to write a letter or a short note????

Send me your deep thoughts and dreams or just your daily doings. Either way, I'll be delighted to hear from you!

Hugs...
Donna
