If you've been reading my blogs long at all you've probably figured out, I do love the Bible! Well, today reaffirmed once again WHY I love it so! I was reading during my devotions, as I 'frequently' do....notice, not 'always' do. The following scripture came alive for me. It was one of my absolute favorites from years past! God had spoken it to me while shopping one day! That's right! While shopping....
Hebrews 11:6-And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Because this reminded me that I hadn't thought about that particular scripture and how important it had always been to me in years past, I was reminded of the following scripture as well which was brought to my attention in the beginning of my learning around 1979 by a well known bible teacher, Kenneth Copeland. Some things I never forget:
Hebrews 2:1-For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it.
All of this I share with you to simply say it makes me happy because Jesus talked with me this morning. I pray you have the joy of knowing HE can talk with you as well!
