Pastor Joel Hunter, Pastor of Northland, A Church Distributed in Longwood, Fl outside of Orlando just told a great "joke" to emphasize a point in his message.
It is this: The head of a mental hospital who had to determine who was crazy enough to be admitted was asked how he made his determination. He answered, "I fill up a tub with water and give the prospective patient a spoon, cup and a bucket and ask them to empty the water."
The man doing the interview said, "Oh, I get it. If they use the spoon or cup, you know they're crazy."
The man doing the interview said, "Oh, I get it. If they use the spoon or cup, you know they're crazy."
He said, "No, If they don't simply pull the plug, I KNOW they're crazy!"
The point in the message is that Jesus pulled the plug FOR us so that we can be free of sin and go to heaven forever with Him when we die or escape the Tribulation and go out at the Trumpet sound should it occur soon while we're still alive which is a real possibility based on the signs of the times!
I love the analogy that Pastor Joel used. Way to go Joel!
Just so you know, I was watching on my computer live via satellite--something any one of you can do in case you're ever having a tummy ache :>( Also, in case some of you have forgotten, my son Chad served as youth pastor and part time worship leader there until 2004 when he moved to North Carolina and on to other places.
Chad has returned to be a part of that ministry where his father-in-law, Vernon Rainwater is the worship leader among other responsibilities and I have much admiration for the ministry that comes forth from Northland. Nowadays, so does Obama! So, you just might want to tune in to one of their live services from time to time.
