IN OUR ELEMENT

I read an inspiring word by Kim Clement today about how important it is to BE IN YOUR ELEMENT. Once there, you'll also discover your purpose and your destiny:

Here's an excerpt from the whole message which can be found on www.theEljahList.com/words (Apr17)

"When Are You in Your Element?

When God breathes on somebody and speaks, He places that person in their element, which in turn forces them to seek an environment conducive or favorable for their gift. When God speaks to you and shows you what you are going to do one day, what ultimately happens then is the enemy of your soul tries to create an environment to stifle your creativity. He tries to create a religious environment to stifle your gift so it won't be effective and what that does is it forces you to find and create an environment where you can be most effective.

You have to seek and create an environment where you are in your element, where you are operating at your best, your finest, being your sharpest. You have the ability to create that environment.

I have found that if you can operate your gift, like David did in a cave and like Joseph did in prison, then you've learned to create an environment that brings the best out of you under the most difficult circumstances and one day when things are more favorable, you will perform perfectly. That's what God wants from you. Don't ever think that you are going to be stuck in this rut forever. Start searching and saying, "What do I need to do to be most effective?" and then create the environment that will bring the best out of you.-- Go!"

After reading the above message, I tuned in on You Tube--something I RARELY do and I found myself spellbound by the incredible singing voices of England's Susan Boyle and Paul Potts who have been discovered via Britain's Got Talent. Boy, do they-have talent, that is! To look at either of these two, you'd never dream they would sound like they belong in an angelic choir. I had tears and many in the audience did, as well.

All I could think of is the scripture," Your gift will make room for you." How easily they could have quit hoping for the big chance they 'finally' found as they were 'discovered' on this television show and the entire destiny or rather -- direction of their lives has changed!

Those of us with with 'lesser' talents still have been presented with gifts of the Holy Spirit if we've accepted Christ. If we haven't, we've been born with personality and ability which with effort and training can take us in the direction God would like us to go until we surrender to Him and then He may show us an entirely different path!

Surprising? Perhaps, but Paul was educated fully in the strictest way as a Jewish scholar, but once he had an encounter with Jesus on the Damascus Road he was sent to preach to the Gentiles. Peter was a simple fisherman and yet he was sent to the snobbish Jews. Go figure! God says "I'll use the foolish things to confound the wise."

I hope this will encourage anyone who is reading to look forward to (1) finding your element (2) recognizing your purpose, as well as (3) meeting your destiny. We should all fit together like a finely woven garment.
