Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Godly ones. Ps. 116:15

Two weeks and one day ago, my friend and I were planning to go to the Warm Mineral Spring in North Port, Florida. However, she called and apologetically asked if I'd mind if she canceled because she felt so "bloated" and uncomfortable. Needless-to-say, I didn't mind, but was concerned about her discomfort and encouraged her to see her family doctor. She'd just seen him on Monday and this was Wednesday. She'd 'forgotten' to mention her stomach swelling, but had spoken only about the achiness in her shoulders and had received a massage and acupuncture treatment.

At the end of March, when I returned from Kansas after being away for 6 weeks , I was surprised by the noticeable loss of weight she exhibited, but in America one can never be "too rich or too thin" so she didn't seem to mind that. She had the Chico's model look anyway--Beautiful! I also noticed she seemed to be 'forgetful.'

All that is hindsight now, because on the day that Terry and I didn't make it to the "Spring", she asked me to pray for her and when I did I saw a vision of Jesus carrying her much like this picture, presenting her to the Father. When she returned from her doctor, the diagnosis was at first leukemia, but the following Sunday, they found she had pancreatic cancer which had also spread to her liver.

She went to be with the Lord today at 3:10, May 7th, 2009--one of the sweetest people I've had the privilege of knowing--just not long enough! Of course, we'll be reunited for all eternity when my turn comes and frankly I hope I go as rapidly as Terry did if the Rapture doesn't carry me out first.

I know the one who is weeping now is her husband, Bob even though he knows where she is. It will seem very lonely without this shining star beside him. All her family will miss her although they lived in faraway places. Anyone who knew her would surely have felt about her as I did although I just moved here in January of 2007 and met her in SS Class. I would be so jealous of people who beat me to a seat beside her. I was simply "drawn" to her and I guess many were too...and dog' gonnit...they knew her first!!! But, by God's grace, the two Bob's (her's and mine) became friends also, so we did some traveling about as couples and sat together at church and just did what FRIENDS do!

PTL-- for friends like Terry...who never die...they just move to HEAVEN.....
