Remember to Remember

"So we must be more careful to follow what we were taught. Then we will not stray away from the truth."(Heb.2:1) NCV

I recall distinctly hearing Kenneth Copeland teach from this verse more than 30 years ago, but unfortunately I haven't applied the principle!

It's a good thing I have been diligent in the practice of doing devotions because the Holy Spirit recently convicted me because of what my devotion said.

Last weekend's devotion talked about "taking Jesus at His word." That seems quite elementary, right? But first we must learn His word and know the RIGHT word for the situation which is of the utmost importance in ORDER to have FAITH.

In the beginning of my journey with the Lord, I was 'starving' to learn the word and every word 'tasted' sooooo good and I 'believed it! Then as time went by and I was 'tested in my faith, I found that I drifted in my devotion and my quickness to respond to the WORDS of Jesus unlike many who knew Him when He spoke to them when He was on planet earth.

Because of my devotional's challenge to me: "Take Jesus at His Word"---'It's being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see'(Heb. 11.1) I have a renewed challenge! Now I will search the scriptures with a renewed dedication to find the appropriate verse to apply to my need and pray until I sense I have touched...the "hem of his garment."
