| That's me! |
I have a few challenges: (1) My body isn't quite as cooperative as it used to be.
(2) We're in a sort of economic repression.
(3) I have other important things to think about...such as teaching a Bible Study and playing with my grand-kids.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Is anyone else out there thinking about work??? I mean.in my generation. I think back to photos of grandma's and they all seemed to be sitting in a rocking chair, knitting! It was either that or baking some "smelly good" thing in their kitchens. Well, I did start knitting again! That's somewhat rewarding. However, the baking thing just doesn't come around very often. You see my husband loves to "cook" AND he does it sooooo well, that I just "let" him!!!
Don't get jealous, ladies, when you read what I just wrote! I do clean up after him, and well, let's just say that some days, I'd rather do the cooking:>) However, since I've had two (yes, 2) back surgeries and I have 10 screws in my back, standing on tile...or for that matter...just plain standing, is not the most fun thing I do!
This blog seems like a good way to get lots of sympathy and "work" from places far and wide! What do you do to pass the time? Of course, if it involves "more standing," I don't need to hear about that one! I find vacuuming, dusting, walking our dog and driving around, fairly time consuming but, I don't know that it fulfills me, if you know what I mean.
I'm drawing a line here...This sounds too much like complaining and frankly, I have a WONDERFUL LIFE...filled with blessings from Above. I trust you do (or will) too! So, get on with "gratitude."
