January 10, 2014

I feel like saying, "Welcome, back" to anyone who may be reading this, but I guess I should start by saying it to myself.

Starting over is never easy...at least in my experience.  Forgetting the "old" can be as challenging as welcoming the "new."  That prefaces my mindset for now.

We moved from Florida BACK to OHIO in 2013.  I had the "privilege," as some look at it, of furnishing our house in Ohio since we sold the condo AND furniture in Florida.  That was "work," believe it or not.

To my surprise and pleasure (as the cold, snow and ice rolled in), my husband REALLY wanted to leave Ohio behind and spend a few months back in Florida, near friends and our wonderful church.  It was a challenge to find a place to rent so late last year, but "HERE WE ARE."

My next challenge has been, "What am I to do now?  It seems I will be adding to this blog with some thoughts from the Bible and insights the Lord has given me over the past 35 years...YES, it's been that long since the Lord poured out His Spirit upon me.  "Time flies when you're having fun."  I can't say all these years have been "fun," but I can say God has been "faithful."

I have enjoyed some new resources:  Life Application Bible, Joseph Prince teaching, Perry Stone teaching, Jack Hayford's Spirit Filled Commentary.

I heard the Holy Spirit calling me to "feed His sheep" and some doors opened for that purpose, again because God is faithful.  Now, as I begin again with this blog and a new desire to continue writing "devotionals" which I have done in past years, I trust the Lord will grant me something worthwhile to share and that it will be interesting and uplifting for you to read.

Having shared the above, may I just say:  Happy New Year!  May it be a "turn around" year for anyone not going in the direction God means for you to go in.  He is the God of "more than enough!"(Luke 15:17)  "His eyes roam through out the whole earth, looking for those whose hearts are perfect toward Him." (2 Chron. 16:9)
